The Standard of Review

Corrie Woods is an appellate attorney based out of Pittsburgh, focusing his practice on civil appeals, criminal appeals, and criminal post-conviction cases.  He also authors SCOPAblog, which provides monthly comprehensive coverage of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania's precedential opinions and allocatur grants.

He became an attorney because he believes deeply in liberty and justice for all.  He has represented individuals, businesses, and even major political and interest groups in civil matters ranging from the ordinary landlord/tenant case to redistricting litigation and criminal matters ranging from the ordinary traffic ticket to capital murder cases.

Before founding Woods Law Offices, Corrie served as a staff attorney to Chief Justice Debra Todd of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania.  Corrie graduated magna cum laude from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law.
